Happy People & Happy Animals
Can’t say enough great things about Tracy. For three years she has loving cared for our very ill lab named Cane, as well our other dogs Jase-another lab, Ben our Collie and Molly our Great Dane. Last March Tracy was scheduled to stay at our house during our vacation. As usual, Tracy called to let us know she was on her way to our house. We boarded our flight and when we landed at our layover destination we had a call from Tracy and a message to call her at once. Thinking it had to do with our lab Cane, my husband called immediately only to discover she had arrived at the house, noticed Molly had a distended belly and taken her straight to the emergency hospital. Tracy saved Molly’s life! My husband and I had noticed she wasn’t her normal self that morning but I chalked it up to the presence of our suitcases. My husband even teased her about her “full belly” thinking maybe she had just eaten too much. Tracy however, immediately recognized that Molly was experiencing a life threatening condition called bloat. Molly was in surgery. Tracy assured us things would be alright. Without hesitation Tracy cared for Molly and Jase (who is medically high maintenance) the entire time we were gone. Molly is fully recovered now and we can’t thank Tracy enough for her quick action. I don’t know what I would do without my sweet Molly.
Heather & Dean K.I am very luck to have Tracy as my pet sitter, I wouldn’t even consider anyone else. My dog Ren is a very active Rhodesian mix and my job requires me to travel frequently which doesn’t always bode well for the furniture. Having Tracy stay with Ren has not only saved me hundred in furniture repair but also saved Ren’s life. Last summer Tracy noticed a knot on Ren’s right shoulder, she had noticed knots before but had never seemed concerned. This time was different. She told me to have it checked out. The next day I took Ren to vet and they took samples of the lump and in a few days I was told the lump was a malignant tumor. The good news was mixed with more bad news. Because the tumor had been detected so early it was curable. Unfortunately, the cure was to me extreme, amputation of Ren’s right arm. I was devastated that Ren would lose his arm but I am so very thankful that Tracy noticed the lump and had me have it checked out immediately instead of waiting until the next year’s annual exam. Today Ren is happy and healthy and the loss hasn’t slowed him down one bit.
Mike R.LOVE LOVE LOVE her! Can’t recommend her highly enough.
Sarah B.Having Tracy as my pet sitter is the best decision we ever made!
John & Renee W.When my dog Haley was diagnosed with diabetes I was so afraid to take her home where I would have to give her insulin injections. My vet recommended I call Tracy. She could have easily taken advantage of my situation but instead she came to my home and taught me how to give the injections easily. After several visits both Haley and I are vey relaxed when it’s time for her injections.
Leslie P.Tracy saved my skin! A few years back my wife and I were having Tracy stay at our house with our dogs while we attended our sons wedding in Virginia. It was during the wedding rehearsal that my troubles began. I had forgotten the rings, not in the room but at home, in my safe. I swallowed deeply tried to cover my panic. At my first opportunity I excused myself and immediately called Tracy. Fortunately, she was able to retrieve the rings from the safe, race to the Fed Ex station (despite my directions) before they closed and get them over-nighted to me. I can not tell you how relieved I was when the package arrived 2 hours before the ceremony. We will never board our dogs again.
Russ G.If you have a chance to have Tracy watch your home and pets, DON’T HESITATE! My pets and I love her. They get so excited when she comes over and I am able to concentrate during work knowing they are being very well cared for.
Claudia M.I think my pets love Tracy more than me. They’re always so excited to see her and you can tell she really cares about them. I have had several pet sitters in the past and Tracy is by far the best. So glad my vet recommended her.
Cheryl H.Several years ago my home became threatened due to a fire that was blazing in Steiner Ranch. I was at work when I learned of the fire. By the time I could get home officials were evacuating the community and were no longer permitting entry into the neighborhood. Seeing the magnitude of the fire and the vicinity to my house, my thoughts went straight to my dog. She is old and alone inside the house. I became extremely concerned for her safety. Unbeknownst to me, Tracy was caring for animals a little further inside Steiner Ranch. Soon after finding a place to park so I could assess the situation, I received a call from Tracy telling me she had my dog. My relief was immeasurable. When we were finally able to meet up she told me she had been aware they were no longer allowing residents into the neighborhood. With the fire so near my home, unable to reach me and unsure if I had gone into the office that day; she made the decision to detour where she could to check on my house on her way out. Finding my dog alone in the house and not knowing how the other dogs in the car would react to her, she took the chance, created a barrier between her and the other dogs, put her in the car and resumed evacuating. Although my home was ultimately spared, I am very thankful Tracy for the action she took that day.
Scott M.My vet recommended Tracy to me when my dog Lily became very ill and needed more care than I thought I could handle. Tracy was very patient with me and taught me to care for Lily at home without being so afraid.
Mary J.Tracy is our forever angel. She gave us a gift we can never repay. I will try and keep my story as short as possible but when I start talking about Tracy I just can’t say enough wonderful things. After years 3 years of dating, Ryan (my now husband) and I had just begun to live together. His 4 year old German Shepherd (Gunner) and my 6 year old Shi Tsu (Sophie) loved each other so they adapted to the new living arrangements effortlessly. One night Ryan and I had just sat down to watch a movie when Gunner and Sophie came running through the room wrestling and playing. They were so funny when they played but his night had a terrible accident. Gunner went to mouth Sophie but she had spun around so fast her head ending up right in his mouth. Sophie let out a yelp and Gunner immediately jumped back exposing Sophie’s head. I have never seen anything so horrific. We raced Sophie to the nearest vet hoping we could make it before they closed. The receptionist was just locking the door but saw us running and crying with Sophie and let us in. That’s when we met Tracy. She had heard me crying and came around the corner to see what was happening. When she saw Sophie’s face she remained very calm and immediately took Sophie from me and told the receptionist to get the doctor. After the doctor examined Sophie, we were told her eyes had been too badly damaged and would need to be removed. I thought Sophie’s life was over. I had never seen a dog with no eyes. I had so many questions but couldn’t see how this could have a good outcome for Sophie and we decided to have her put down. Tracy sat us down and told us that while it was our decision she wanted to make sure we dint make a decision based on fear and uncertainty. She very calmly explained to us that Sophie could live a very full life, and with her long hair no one would be able to see she had no eyes. Although it had been closing time when we arrived, Tracy very patiently and thoroughly answered all our questions. Reassuring us everything would be alright. Tracy and the doctors stayed late that night and preformed Sophie’s surgery. Sadly both Sophie and Gunner have passed on but for 8 years after that faithful night she ran and played just as she always had. Just like Tracy told us, unless they know her story, people who came to our house never know she was blind. I will be eternally grateful to Tracy for the time she and spend with us that night. Unfortunately, I will never be free of what I saw that night, but Tracy helped us set that aside for the moment and gave us the strength to believe in a future we couldn’t truly imagine. She gave us hope when none existed in our mind; she held our hand, gave us courage and walked with us through one of the hardest nights of my life. It was a journey, but everything she said came true for us and Sophie. Well once again I have gone on to long so I will end here by saying; though Tracy didn’t do the physical work of the surgery, Ryan I will never be able to repay her for saving Sophie’s life that night.
Hannah & Ryan K.I don’t have any animals but I do use Tracy as a house sitter and let me tell you what, it has been worth every penny. This summer while we were abroad Tracy was coming by checking on my home, picking up the paper, bringing in the mail watering my plants, that sort of thing. On the fourth day of our 10 day trip Tracy noticed our automatically sprinkler was leaking water. Austin was in the midst of strict water restrictions at the time so she called me and let me know there was a problem. I told her where to find the number to the sprinkler guy and she called him and had it repaired before we returned. I can’t imagine what my water bill would have been when I go t back not to mention the fines I would have received from the city. My advice to anyone going out of town for any length time, call her! You never know what might happen.
Frank M.My vet recommended Tracy to me. I have a 9 year old Samoyed, that I call Nonie who has a pretty severe seizure disorder. Before Nonie was diagnosed with her disorder I was a very active person and for awhile nothing changed. Gradually my schedule became more and more restrictive due to Nonie’s changing medication schedule. Finally when she began to needs medication for times a day I found myself planning my life around Nonie. I love her but my boss was beginning to feel my absence in the afternoon and at times when he needed me to work late. Although I hadn’t really thought much about it until then, I missed my active life too. That’s when I called Tracy. She was able to come by in the afternoon and on occasion at night to give Nonie her medication so that I didn’t have to leave work. Also with Tracy’s help I have been able to resume girl’s night out. I drink a few less drinks to pay for it but I try not to look at that as a bad thing.
Andrea D.My husband and I have had a few really bad experiences with pet sitters in the past, so when my vet recommended Tracy we very skeptical about trying a sitter again but the kennel was full and we felt it was our only alternative. He had also told us that Tracy specializes in medically at-risk pets and to let her know our pets are healthy and that he had given us her number, hopefully that would help get an appointment with her. We had never had a vet recommend a sitter and wondered what was so different about her? At our initial consultation we realized very quickly what was so different about her. Not only was she was very polite and professional but we soon we realized, very thorough. For days prior to our meeting my husband and I had prepared a list of question regarding her background and experience, as well as just how we were going to outline how we expected our pets and home to be cared for while we were away. The first thing Tracy did after greeting us and our pets was ask if we had ever had pet sitter before. She listened quietly as we outlined our experiences with past sitters. When we had finished she told us about her business and what to expect she pulled out paperwork that included an informational sheet on us, a contract and detailed information about our pets and their routine. In just a little while and without us asking a question she had answered everything we had written down on our list and more. The paperwork included things we had never even thought to ask. There was no need to tell her how we expected our pets and home to be treated because she covered that too and again it was more than we had expected. My husband asked for references because this could not be real. We had conversations with each person on the list and they all said the same thing. Tracy was by far the best pet sitter they had ever had and if that if she was able to watch our pets we should hang up and book her while we could. One had even been in exactly our shoes when they hired her and they had never looked back. We haven’t either. They were right, Tracy is not only the best pet sitter we have ever had but has become an extension of our family.
Melanie & Joel T.I will never book late again! I had known for weeks I was going out of town but procrastinated letting Tracy know my plans. When I finally got around to calling she informed me she was booked. NO THIS CANT BE! She said she would take a look at the schedule and see if there was anything she could rearrange. That was the longest hour of my life. Its not that I didn’t have other options, its just that when Tracy is caring for my pets I notice I am more relaxed and I don’t feel the need to worry. She keeps me in the loop and I am able to enjoy my time away. I sighed a huge sigh of relief when she was able to book me and all was well.
Tran N.I really don’t want to give away my secret but Tracy is the best pet sitter I have ever had. She is professional, reliable, knowledgeable and you can really tell she loves animals.
